With over 40 years of experience in the asphalt paving industry, we consider ourselves front runners in this field. Our driveways are designed and constructed to last many years. Good design begins with a good base. Before any excavation and preparation work can occur, utility locations must be placed. Our staff takes care of this for you.
Our underlying granular base is deep enough to allow for proper water drainage, and we install a geotextile fibre mesh before any backfilling takes place.
The sub-base is compacted and allowed to sit for several weeks before asphalt is laid. This allows for any natural settling to take place which helps the mechanical compaction our team has conducted. Prior to laying any asphalt, a regrading of the sub-base materials will occur if necessary. This also ensures the driveway is properly sloped to allow for water drainage.
Once the base is ready, hot mix asphalt will be laid in a 2 ½ inch layer, raked for proper sloping and finally compacted with a roller to 2 inches. Our team possesses all the necessary equipment to ensure this is done properly.
